Hello from Alberta!

I wanted to write a quick blog post and say hello from Calgary, Alberta. We had a long drive through BC yesterday and got to Golden, BC very late after a 9 hour drive. We saw a little black bear on the side of the highway as we were approaching Golden. We all had a good sleep and woke up to the sun shining in the rocky mountains. We saw big horned sheep and a baby deer as we went into the rocky's. We got into Banff early and spent the whole day there. I had forgotten how beautiful it is there. We had lunch at the old spaghetti factory and shopped in the really cool shops along the main street there. We had a really fun day and even enjoyed some time by the Bow River which was very cold but nice to look at and relax by after we did so much walking. We got into Calgary and checked into a nice hotel with a pool and hot tub and wireless internet which is wonderful so I could check e-mails and also let family and friends know that we are doing great. We are going to take a dip in the pool and then head downtown for dinner and the calgary tower as well as the stampede although we may try to do that tomorrow before heading to Drumheller tomorrow and then Edmonton for a few days. It's great to be back in Alberta again after many years. I hope to update again on our family trip but it depends on if we find another hotel with wireless and also if I have the time. I am having a really great family vacation so far. May the force be with you all. padme amidala
