On vacation

We are getting ready for a family trip to Alberta, Canada. There is lots to do to get ready and my mind is already on vacation. I am going to start reading my new book which Master borrowed off of me. It's called The Time Traveler's Wife. I bought it a few months ago and have not had the chance to read it yet. I loved the movie and heard good reviews of it. I'm looking forward to catching up on my reading and starting my summer vacation. I am catching up on my sleep and planning to spend lots of time with my kids with them being home on summer holidays. I have not felt like being on the computer much these days. There are way too many things to do away from the computer including travel and enjoying the summer holidays. We have a family rule for this trip...no lap tops or electronic communication (except for IPods and cell phones for emergencies) while we are away. I think it will be good for us to connect as a family and get away from the electronics for a while. I do hope to twitter while away but not sure how much I'll be able to do. I admit I'm addicted to twitter but have been starting to think that a break from it would be nice for a while. The same with Fetlife and facebook. I am really looking forward to spending some good quality time together as a family. It gets hard as the kids get older and especially the teen starts to make her friends the priority in life. We miss her and this will be nice for her and I to spend some time together too. We have plans to do lots of retail therapy at West Edmonton Mall together. We plan to do lots of our back to school shopping there as the taxes are lower and way better deals and stores. There will be lots of shopping on this trip! I can't wait to see the Rocky Mountains again and travel to Alberta. It's been many years since we took the route we are planning to take. Leia was 3 years old and a little toddler the last time we traveled that way to Edmonton. It's going to be neat for Skywalker to see the big mountains and all the wildlife and scenery on our trip. This is his first trip to Edmonton. He's been to Banff before but doesn't remember it. He was very young when we took him on that trip. Both of our kids seem very excited about the trip too. I can't wait to eat at Red Lobster again! They don't have those restaurants out here and I see the commercials all the time which taunt me with their juicy seafood. We plan to see Buffalo and maybe visit Drumheller. Master grew up in Alberta and plans to show our kids his old family home and hospital he was born at. It's going to be fun! My priority for this trip is my family...Master Anakin and our two children. I apologize to my kinky friends which wanted to get together while out in Alberta. This trip doesn't involve kink and my plans are all around family. Maybe next time I'll try to come out to Alberta for a kink related activity and meet everyone. :) There are lots of fun plans for our family trip and I know we're going to have a great time. I'm sure I'll have lots to share in future blog posts about the trip and lots of pictures and hopefully a few things crossed off my bucket list too!
