Getting ready for the holidays

I am enjoying a nice cup of hot coffee and am finally glad that I have the chance to do some blogging. It is very hard for me to get onto the computer with the family around. The kids always need my attention and I've been spending a lot of time in the kitchen lately. The weekend was very busy with getting ready for the holidays.

Anakin was home on Friday so we decided to try to get some Christmas shopping done. The plan was to shop and then come home and play. Shopping took a lot longer than expected and we ran out of time. Then the teen sent us a text and asked to be picked up. I know both of us were a bit disappointed that we didn't use the kid free time to our advantage. That's reality though. Sometimes we don't always find the time to play. It can be challenging when you've got kids. We were both frustrated that we didn't get the chance to play. I was hoping for a spanking to help me with some holiday stress release. An orgasm would have been nice too. lol. ;)

We did get a lot of our Christmas shopping done though. I'd say we are about half way there to completing it. It feels good to get it done early because I hate crowded stores in December. I try to avoid them as much as I can. I've got to try to get out to Metrotown soon too. There are stores like Lush and even The Love Nest that I'd like to try to get to before Christmas. I'm hoping there will be some romantic nights for the holidays. I love to curl up next to our fireplace and get naughty under the Christmas tree. It's one of the best parts about Christmas.

We watched Eat, Pray, Love on Friday night. It was a really good movie! I recommend it. It made me want to travel and see different parts of the world. I really hope that I'll have that chance to travel with Anakin now that our kids are getting older. I've got a dream to go to Hawaii one day with him and finally have our honeymoon that we never really got.

We spent most of Saturday putting up our Christmas decorations and tree. We also picked up the main gift for Skywalker as well as more errands. I was very worn out and went to bed early. I've been catching up on some sleep that I missed while having insomnia. It felt good to sleep in and also not wake up in the middle of the night.

We spent most of Sunday putting up our Christmas lights. I had forgotten that we bought a bunch of extra lights with my Dad's estate money last year. It took HOURS to get all our lights up. Anakin and I also worked together to get them all up. It was a really big job but the place looks very festive and ready for the holidays! I want to try to figure out my Christmas baking this week and also finish my cards to send off. I'm pretty organized this year and that feels good.

I really miss Master this morning and feeling a bit lost. I've got my chores list though to keep me busy. It helps to keep my mind off things. Hopefully we'll have a chance to play this weekend. I miss playing on the darkside with Darth. :D

May the force be with you all!!

My padme,
I'm pleased with all we got done towards Christmas this past weekend, but it has left us both craving time on the Darkside with each other. Such is the reality with our younglings about sometimes as you mentioned. Yes, can't wait for Metrotown (big mall Xmas shopping trip), but until then, our place looks Xmasy and cozy, and can't wait for some Darkside time by this weekend with you.
