 Happy New Year! This is my first blog post for 2011! Woot! I have to admit that my New Year's eve was pretty low key. I think I'm getting too old to party. :P I've had some pretty wild NYE's in the past, especially during my club days. I could tell you a few stories. This new years eve was a lot more tame.
We did have a really nice dinner but I got some tummy upset and it seemed to get worse during Dick Clark's Rockin New Years eve. (at 9 pm which was midnight in New York but not New years for us yet on the west coast) I really didn't feel too good during it. We had wanted to play but were both too tired and worn out from the two days we spent fucking and playing while the kids were away.
We both fell asleep after 11 pm waiting for midnight to come. lol. It's the first New years eve that I actually missed the stroke of midnight because I was asleep. I woke up at 12:10 am and kissed Anakin and wished him a happy new year and we both went back to sleep. I didn't even get drunk last night. I had one drink but didn't have anymore due to my tummy issues. I feel kind of bad that things didn't go as planned but am happy that I got to spend it with Anakin and also my son too.
It was nice to wake up to a new year without a hangover. I even went for a long walk today with Anakin. I stepped on the scale this morning and am a bit frustrated that I have gained a few pounds during the holidays. I have gotten back into my walking again and eating better. Things go back to normal on Tuesday when Anakin goes back to work. The teen comes home from her trip tomorrow. The kids go back to school on Tuesday too.
I am looking forward to things getting back to normal again. The holidays were nice but I'm kind of glad they are all behind me for another year. I'm really hoping to cross some things off my bucket list this year! I am looking ahead to a new year and new beginnings. I look back at 2010 as being in the past now. I move forward in a very positive new direction on my journey for 2011!

I'm so glad to hear we weren't the only ones that had a quiet night. I was so tired last night and Sir went to sleep in the recliner and then I woke him up at 11:45 and he poured the champagne. We watched the ball fall, we kissed, drank a glass of champagne and went to bed.
I have no doubt 2011 will be great :D
