 Last night was a huge night if you are a Vancouver Canucks fan. I've been a big fan since I saw them play back in the 80's. I remember how close they got in 1994 and driving around downtown waving flags and yelling when they had that chance the last time and won the game on May 24, 1994. We all got into my ex husband's car and drove downtown to get into Canucks fever around the city. We were all so excited and had big hopes they would win the cup that year.
It was a very sad day when they lost last time in the finals in game 7. It caused a big riot in Vancouver when fans went crazy after they lost. I was pregnant with my first child at the time and lost the baby the same day they lost that game. I can remember coming out of the ultrasound place and crying and some guy thought it was because the Canucks had lost the game.
Last night they won and are heading to the Stanley Cup finals again for another chance. One of the things on my bucket list is that I would love to see them win the cup at least one time in my lifetime. I'm sure a lot of other fans are hoping for the same thing. This could be the year for the Canucks!! Go Canucks Go!
Canucks fever is all over Vancouver right now. So glad to see so much support for my favorite hockey team. I did get a few nasty tweets from fans who do not like the Canucks. Wonder what they think now that the Canucks have won and are the way to the Stanley cup!! I really hope they can bring home the cup!

All I can say is it's been a long time coming, and I remember that time, 17 years ago, when the Canucks got into the Stanley Cup final series. That was quite the memory; the best of times, the worst of times. Really hoping for better results this time. Go Canucks Go!!!
