Fun family day at the PNE

The last two days have been really fun! I've got so much to blog about and many pictures to share! I feel like I am behind in my blogging. I even forgot to post an HNT picture yesterday and it was a good one! I hope to catch up in September when the kids are back at school. I will have my days free and be able to have a lot more time for writing. We went to the PNE with our kids on Wednesday. I shared many of the pictures on my twitter account. (https://twitter.com/#!/padmeamidala) Check them out! It was a really fun day. The weather turned out great. The teen's boyfriend came with us so we had 3 kids for the PNE. We got a bit of a surprise when our son went off with the big kids and gave us some time to ourselves. We had a few hours at the PNE with no kids! The PNE is always the best part of summer! We love to go and our kids have grown up with many memories of the PNE! It was a really fun family day! I enjoyed some time with Anakin as well as with the kids. Anakin and I checked out the barn with all the cute animals. We went to the Marketplace and did some shopping. We ate at Jimmy's lunch which is a tradition for us. We have been eating there since 1991 when we first went to the PNE as friends. We were dating at the time and went to the PNE to see Don Henley. It was very special to me that we got to eat there again. We went to the horse races at Hastings Park. We also went to a show called Peking Acrobats which was really neat! We had missed the Super Dogs and wanted to go to something new. It was a lot of fun! There was also mini donuts which is another tradition at the PNE! There are rides and games and always so much fun! I had to unfortunately leave early. My arthritis was acting up and was exhausted from the day. I also got way too much sun. I felt bad for having to leave but could barely stand up. Anakin sent me home with instructions to relax and go to bed early. He stayed behind so the kids could continue their fun until it closed. The kids all had ride passes so they spent most of the time doing that. No rides for me this year but was nice to watch the kids enjoying. Anakin was exhausted and wore himself out. He decided to stay home from work yesterday. We had to pick something up from downtown Vancouver so we made a date of it. We went to North Van and the Quay and had a really great time! I will blog about that next time though. :D I'm looking forward to the weekend a lot! I've got some new leather cuffs to try out for my next review. We are also hoping for an overnight to be able to have some fun! I can't wait for the weekend to begin! Have a great weekend! May the force be with you all!! ~padme amidala
