 Fridays used to be our movie & merlot nights. We would often crack open a bottle of merlot and a new release movie to watch. It's changed in some ways although kind of the same. Friday nights are now our date nights. We try to arrange to have the night to ourselves with no kids around.
We decided a few months ago that we need a "date night" once a week. This is important for our relationship. It's a chance to have some alone time and often be able to play. I really need this time to reconnect with Anakin after a long week. Sometimes we are lucky if we get an hour or two to spend together on a normal weeknight.
Sometimes we go out on our date nights. But sometimes we just decide to stay home instead. That happened on Friday night. We were both too tired to go out. It seemed a lot more relaxing to stay inside and watch a movie. We opened a bottle of wine and then made dinner. We watched The Hitcher movie from 2007. A lot better than the original one. It was fun to curl up together.
