A quiet Skywalker Christmas: Day 11

Today is day 11 of having an #adventblog. You can check out Mija's blog to see who is participating in this fun series! We are all counting down the days until Christmas on our blogs. I will be blogging daily until Christmas! I had planned to write a blog post about the play on Friday night. I had some very intense and dark play with Master. I don't have much energy left though. We spent a few hours doing some Christmas shopping today. I'm exhausted. I didn't get to do very much yesterday because I was sick. I'm still not 100% but needed to get things done. This week is going to be very busy. It's the last week before the kids are out of school. Anakin will then be on holidays. Things tend to start getting a bit crazy. It felt a bit crazy today at the local stores! Wow! Wal Mart was a complete circus. Is it just me or do the holidays bring out the crazy people? We went to the mall and were at the food court and one couple was having a big fight about the holidays. lol. Toys R Us and Superstore were also very busy. I find the holiday shopping very stressful. I'll be glad to get it done. I've still got a few more things to get. We are planning a very quiet Skywalker Christmas this year. We've often had big family gatherings but we are going to do things a bit different this year. I am still not talking to my Mom. It's going to be a bit of a relief to not have her involved though. She has often added way too much family drama to the holidays. I will not be seeing anyone in my family this year. I spent time with my siblings in the summer and they have their own plans. My Dad has passed away. I may see my Grandma but she's been very ill. My FIL will be included in our family plans. He's alone and needs the support this time of the year. He's got cancer and has had a rough year. We worry about him a lot. I want this Christmas to be very special. Our kids are getting older and growing up on us too. We want to spend a lot of time with our kids this Christmas. I am looking forward to a quieter Christmas this year. We watched a Christmas movie yesterday "Deck the Halls" and really enjoyed that. Many people might not know it but it was filmed locally in Cloverdale, B.C. It's really neat to recognize different places in the movie. Our teen was also surprised that Ferris Buller is in the movie! lol. I love that movie. It was a nice family night. We had the fireplace going. It's a nice way to spend time with our kids. I love that part of the holidays. Watching Christmas movies with the kids. I've got some blogging ideas for the #adventblog this week. I was thinking about posting some recipes as well as talking more about my play on Friday night. I got a very severe spanking. I'm still processing some of my feelings about it and think it will make for some interesting blogging. Stay tuned! May the force be with you all!! ~padme amidala
