Happy Canada Day long weekend!

Today has felt like one of the longest and most stressful days ever!! I am so glad that it's almost over and that hopefully things might be getting better. The last week has been very stressful with my teen daughter. I hosted a big birthday for her as well as dealing with a lot of drama and attitude. She leaves tonight to go with her Dad for the long weekend. I'm not going to deny it. I'm really happy to be taking a break from her. She's pushed some buttons lately and really upset me and the whole family. The stress has really leaked into my relationship with Anakin. The last week hasn't been very easy for us. We've been both so busy and stressed and had little time to connect. It's been a while since we had sex and I really miss playing. The party is over

Well the party is over and it's time to start getting ready for summer! The teen had a very memorable and fun sweet sixteen birthday party over the weekend. I spent the last week throwing my heart and soul into the party. I wanted it to be special for her. I've been pretty consumed by the party and it's been hard to think about summer or the fact that both of my kids will be home soon. Skywalker has his last full day of school today and Leia is almost done writing final exams. Summer vacations starts next week! I think that things went pretty well with the birthday party although there was some drama which happened before the party started. The teen lied to us and had a bunch of attitude about it all on Friday. There was a lot of worry and stress. Being the parent of a teen is very challenging and stressful sometimes. She is testing a lot of limits with us and trying to grow up too quickly sometimes. She wants to be totally independent and yet isn't an adult yet. She likes to push my buttons sometimes and try to break the rules. I guess this is typical for most teens. I did it to my parents. And now it's payback! My mom says that she is my payback for all that I put her through. I guess I was pretty wild when I was 16 and made some poor choices. It's all a part of the whole growing up process. She's got a new boyfriend and he seems pretty nice. I worry though that things are happening a bit too quickly but not sure there is much I can do about it. I was dating by her age although I didn't lose my virginity until my 18th birthday. It's hard to see your little girl grow up. The letting go process is a slow one. I know she's growing up but I really miss my little girl sometimes. She goes from ribbons and curls to makeup and perfume as Bob Carlisle sings about in the song "Butterfly Kisses." I think it's just as difficult for both of her Dads (Anakin and my ex husband) to watch their little girl growing up into a young woman. I knew from the moment that she was born that she would break a few hearts when she got older. She's already had several boys who keep coming around and don't want to let her go. I'm not really one to talk though. I was dating a 23 year old guy when I was 16. I even dated an ex con at one time just to drive my Dad crazy. lol. :P There wasn't any time this weekend to get naughty. I got my period in the middle of the party which has also contributed to my tiredness. I slept 11 hours last night and I feel like I could nap right now. And that's after two cups of coffee!! I am glad Anakin ordered me to take it easier today and rest and relax. I really need it. Canada Day is this weekend! Anakin has a 4 day long weekend coming up. Messages of support in downtown Vancouver

I had a really great day today with Anakin. He had the day off work and we went downtown to pick up a prize that I had won from a radio contest. We took the opportunity to go by the section of downtown which had been affected from the riots last week. I was down there last Saturday to look around but Anakin wanted to see for himself. The windows had been boarded up and it was obvious that something had happened there. There was all kinds of messages of support all around the Bay. You can see all of them in the pictures that Anakin took. Amazing!! It was nice that so many people came together to support Vancouver after what happened with the riots. It's hard to believe that it was only a week ago that Anakin and I were down there at the beginning of it all. A week later and the city is starting to slowly recover from what happened. It was very touching to see all the messages surrounding the Bay. This is my Vancouver! We were downtown as well as went into North Vancouver. We went to Ambleside Park for a picnic lunch. We took a whole bunch of pictures there too and I will write about that in another post. I really enjoyed a warm sunny day full of sunshine and downtown fun. Ocean breeze Glass Dildo review

I was finally able to play with a glass dildo this weekend! I have seen many of them around but never been able to use one with Anakin until now! This dildo works very well with lubricant and is compatible for all types of it because it is made with a non-porous material. It is 7 1/2" long and fit inside of me really well. A weekend of work and play!

I was lucky that Anakin had a 3 day long weekend. And there is another one coming up soon with Canada day! I really enjoy it when we get to spend a whole day together. Friday was a pretty nice day. It was beautiful and I walked all around the park there. I also did some shopping and found the teen something for her birthday there. I also got some goodies at the bakery. It was so peaceful and really helped me to be out there on my own for a while. Thank you Anakin for giving me a day to myself! :) I came home on the skytrain and met Anakin. We picked up some dinner and then came home to watch some of the Star Wars marathon which was on all through the weekend for Father's day! There's nothing better than spike tv showing star wars marathons. We love it! We had considered going to Rascal's on Saturday night but I was exhausted from my day out and we had no sitting. Hopefully we'll be able to go to Rascal's again sometime soon. It's been a while and I miss some of my kinkster friends. We got to have a few drinks and play again. Happy Father's day!

I wanted to wish all the Dad's out there a very happy Father's day! I want to give an extra special message to Anakin! He's a really wonderful Dad to our two kids. He's a good stepdad to our teen and has been a part of her life since she was born. He's also a really great Dad to our son who is like a mini-me version of Anakin. Our son is a little Dom in training and likes to be the boss just like his Dad. :) He's a really great Daddy to me too! I'm proud of him for all that he does for our family. Father's day is a bit of a sad day for me. It reminds me of my own Dad and how he isn't here to spend Father's day with. He passed away in 2009. Anakin will be spending some of it with his Dad and that's very special because of what's going on with him. He's been diagnosed with Cancer and starts chemo on Tuesday. I love my FIL a lot and am sad about the news. He's a father figure to me since my own Dad isn't here. I love him very much. What are your plans for Father's day? Downtown Vancouver last night!

I had no idea that deciding to go downtown Vancouver last night would result in it ending in a riot!! I will never forget last night and what happened as long as I live. It will be a night that everyone will be talking about for years to come. Just like in 1994. People still talk about the riots that year and everything that happened. I have very vivid memories of what I was doing during that whole thing back then. I had no idea that years later I'd be at the beginning of a riot in downtown Vancouver for game 7 of the stanley cup finals in 2011. Anakin really wanted to go downtown to see one of the Canucks games. We heard about the big screen and all the celebrations. We debated for most of the morning about whether or not to go downtown. It was game 7 and the big one. We really thought they would be winning the cup and the whole city would be celebrating. We didn't want to miss the opportunity to experience it. Our kids really wanted to come with us and we also debated about bringing them with us. I'm really glad now that they weren't there to witness the violence that happened. It was a really scary situation to be in. I wanted to blog about my experience last night. I've had a lot of people asking us about what happened and are wondering about what our experience was with going downtown. I am sharing a few pictures that Anakin took last night. I also shared some on twitter (https://twitter.com/#!/padmeamidala) and facebook. I think Anakin took some really amazing pictures that show some of what was happening at the time. We decided to take the skytrain downtown. We knew it would be crowded and also expected it to be a circus. Canucks fever was everywhere. Flags on all the cars and canucks stuff all over the city. People were already honking. We got to Surrey Central and parked. We were lucky to get free parking! It was crazy already. Tons of fans all over the place. We ate dinner before we left on the skytrain. It was packed!!!! We got on at Surrey Central station and it was already completely packed. We made it on but had to stand the whole way there. We saw one guy openly drinking liquor even though it's not legal. It was pretty clear that many people were intoxicated and we weren't even half way to downtown yet. It was a very rowdy crowd heading into Vancouver. A few people were trying to start some problems on the skytrain. Booze and young punk guys with testosterone are a bad combination. Always ends up with problems. We have been to the fireworks and seen things get out of control. Usually due to booze and drugs and young punks looking to start problems. We got off at Granville Street skytrain station and walked upwards towards the huge crowd of people. I've never seen so many Canucks jerseys and stuff everywhere! Flags all over the place and signs. One guy was holding up a sign that said "F**k Boston* and we later saw him on the news during the riots! We also saw someone that we think we know in the crowd during the riots. We were shocked at how many people stuck around downtown when things started to get really ugly. We got out of there as soon as we knew things were going downhill. I have to admit that I was a bit surprised to not get my purse checked and not see many police officers when we got into the middle of the big crowd. Anakin and I were pretty surprised by what was happening around us. One guy behind us smoked the biggest joint I've ever seen out in the middle of the crowd. No one did anything about it. It was clear there was many people on drugs too. We also saw lots and lots of open liquor all over the place. Vancouver had closed the liquor stores by 4 pm but it was clear that people had brought in alcohol from all over. We watched the end of the first period on the big screen. There was helicopters all above us and so much tension and excitement in the air. Don Cherry came on and there was lots of comments about him from the crowd. lol. I have to admit that I don't like Don Cherry. I sat down on the curb to rest for a while and avoid having to watch Don Cherry anymore and the Coach's corner. I noticed a CBC reporter close by and they had the camera on us at one point. We later saw the same reporter covering the news of the riots downtown later that night. The second period started and things started going downhill for both the Canucks and the crowd. Boston scored the 2nd goal and people were starting to get angry. There was booing from the crowd and some fighting starting to happen in the crowd. Anakin wanted to go but I convinced him to stay longer. I was really afraid they would score a goal and I wanted to celebrate it with the city. So we stayed and hoped for a goal but it never came. I could tell that Anakin was starting to get nervous though, especially by the third goal. People were starting to climb onto vehicles and things were getting out of control. People had climbed the poles and it started getting very intense and rowdy. People were chanting and getting really angry about the game. We looked around for the cops but didn't see any. We decided to leave shortly after that point. It was clear that the crowd was starting to get mean and nasty and we worried about a loss and what might happened. Anakin remarked that it looked like a riot might start. I could see a lot of worry on his face. We saw one woman with a broken nose. A bruins fan who had gotten hit in the face. She was laying on the side of the street with blood coming out of her nose. Anakin went to take a picture and I witnessed another act of violence. A woman was getting assaulted for having a yellow purse!! Imagine that!! A bunch of young punks thought she was a Bruins fan just for having a yellow colored purse. She looked scared and started running and one guy chased her. We started to see some other fights and problems too. It seemed like some of the punks were on the hunt for Bruins fans. I wouldn't have been wanting to wear a Bruins jersey downtown last night. I noticed some people taking theirs off when the problems were starting to happen. Then there was a burning of the teddy bear "Bruins bear" that got us heading quickly towards Granville Skytrain station. We were starting to worry about fires. We found out later that that same skytrain station was tear gased shortly after we left. Police cars were set on fire and there was tons of smoke coming out of downtown. We had just missed it all. It turns out that things went quickly downhill shortly after we left. Fires turned into riots. Violence in the streets of Vancouver. I've gone downtown and seen the best of times (Olympics last year) and now the worst of times with the riot. It was a very frightening experience to see a riot starting to happen before your eyes. We were lucky to get out of downtown when we did. Thank you Anakin for getting us out safely and right away! I had no idea what kind of danger we were in at the time. We went home and turned on the news and watched the Riots unfolding right before our eyes. We were both completely in shock. It is one thing to turn on the news and see violence which happens in other places. But it shocked us so much to know that we were just down there. To see what has happened to our beautiful city. It's shocking! I barely slept last night. I kept replaying some of the things that I witnessed. They are cleaning up our city today. It's going to take a while to get over this. Thank you to everyone who sent us messages of support. We had a lot of family and friends worried about us last night when they heard we were downtown. We got home safe and am glad we left downtown when we did. I'm still proud of the Canucks for making it all the way to the end. I will always believe in my boys and hope that one year we'll see them get the cup. I do hope that Vancouver will handle things differently though for any playoff games in the future. I'm not sure it was a good idea to bring that many people into the city like that. I think this probably would have happened though whether they won or lost. Some punks were going to try to destroy our city and take advantage of the situation with all the looting and such. I hope that they are all caught and thrown out of our city and in jail! Shame on them all! **I hope that people reading this post realize that Vancouver is a beautiful city and that a bunch of punks did this. True canucks fans would not do this! I have been born and raised here and this city is amazing to live in. There have been really great times that I've spent downtown like the Olympics and Expo 86. There are people downtown today helping with the cleanup and getting involved in repairing all the damage down. Please don't judge our city based on what happened last night. I've read some really nasty tweets today about the city and they were upsetting to me. Game 7 of the Stanley cup is tomorrow!

Well the end is finally near. Tomorrow is the big game. The Vancouver Canucks play against the Boston Bruins in game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals. It's going to be absolutely CRAZY around Vancouver tomorrow night!! Anakin and I are debating about going downtown or not. We'd love to experience all the Canucks fever that will be happening but what if they lose? We don't want to be in the middle of a riot like what happened in 1994. Not sure yet if we will be going. I'll be glad when the playoffs are over. It's been going on for nearly 2 months now and getting nastier by the game. It's really hard to read some of the twitter insults from people who love to bash the Vancouver Canucks. I've even had some DM's from crazy fans who seem upset with me for supporting my home team. There seems to be as much fighting off the rink as on. I'll be glad when it's all over and hopefully the Canucks will win the series. Either way, I will always love my boys and support them all the way! I think they are a great team and wouldn't have made it this far if they weren't. Go Canucks Go! 2 years ago today

Something happened two years ago which changed my life forever. I will never forget it. Some of the memories from that time are burned into me and hard to forget. I buried my Dad 2 years ago today. I read back today from an old blog post that was dated after the day he was buried. It says: "The burial was truly beautiful but yet tragic. The spot he is buried is perfect. It is a beautiful view. Watching the burial broke my heart. I stayed to watch the whole thing. I kissed his coffin and I said "I love you, Dad". Then I watched them put him into the ground and then the dirt get buried on top. It was one of the most emotional experiences in my life." I was feeling very emotional about it all today. Having flashbacks and thinking about my Dad and the burial. My best friend, DL invited me out for breakfast this morning. She's a really good friend and always seems to know when I need a friend to talk to. I wish I had more close friendships but DL is one of the few that I can get together with and that I can really talk to about life and death issues. I am very grateful for our friendship. I talked to her about Father's day and how hard it is for me around this time of the year. Father's day stuff is everywhere. Father's day has always been a bit of a complicated day for me. I had a complicated relationship with my Dad because he abused me (and my family) growing up. It took me a long time (and lots of therapy) to finally be able to forgive him and let him back into my heart again. It gets me very upset to think of the fact that it took so long for us to get a good relationship and then he died suddenly and I never even got to say goodbye. I wish I would have done things differently. Sometimes I wouldn't phone him for Father's day because I was angry at him but I always wanted to. I loved him even though he made it very difficult to get close to him. I wish we hadn't spent so much time fighting over the past. It makes me feel very sad in my heart. The Vancouver canucks play tonight and it's their big game. They could possibly win the cup tonight. It makes me think of my dad and what a big fan he was for the Canucks. I wish he was alive to see how far they've come this year. I know he would have been very proud. I really hope they win tonight. Go Canucks Go! May the force be with you all!! ~padme amidala

Vancouver Canucks get closer to the cup!

Wow!! I'm not sure I even have the words to describe the atmosphere and energy in Vancouver, BC last night. I wasn't even downtown and yet Canucks fever was everywhere!! We had considered going downtown to get autographs from the UFC fighters (who are in Van to fight tonight) and also see the game. But we were worried about big crowds. It turns out that 100,000 people crowded the downtown streets last night!! Amazing!! This is almost bigger than the Olympics which happened last year. Anakin was home yesterday so we did a lot to get ready for the big game. We spent about two hours playing also. I got a hard spanking and we had some really great sex. I admit that I started doing vodka shots at 11 am. This is very rare for me. I usually don't drink like that during the day and was feeling really good by the time the Canucks game started. What a great hockey game!! We had our eyes glued to the TV for the whole thing and there was lots of cheering and screaming at the TV. I screamed so loud when the Canucks scored. Anakin said it sounded like I had an orgasm!! It was LOUD!! And our neighbors were all screaming too. People were driving by in their cars and waving flags and screaming. I can only imagine how loud downtown was last night. It was loud where we live. I have never cried during a hockey game until last night. The last 5 minutes was one of the longest of my whole life. We counted down the last minute and then jumped up and down cheering. We wanted to go downtown to celebrate or even to Surrey where there was hockey events going on but I wasn't feeling too great by that point. I didn't realize that I had polished off the whole bottle (Anakin had a little bit of it) during the game. I was so stressed out that I was doing shots to cope. Yikes! Not a good idea. I woke up with major tummy issues and even the shakes. I normally don't drink like that and I'm paying the price today. I doubt that I'm the only person in Vancouver though who woke up hungover. lol. :P Several others on twitter mentioned they were too. I'm really glad the next game is on Monday night. I need a few days to recover and also prepare for the anxiety and stress that is happening for the big win. This could be it!! They could win the Stanley cup. It's been a long journey for the Canucks but they are closer than ever to the win!! Go Canucks Go!! May the force be with you all!! ~padme amidala

Safer Sex in the city

I am a big fan of Eden Fantasys. I've been reviewing toys for them as well as participated in their online forum and really enjoyed being a part of it all. I heard that Eden Fantasys is sponsoring the AIDS Service Center‘s Safer Sex in the City event! - In honor of that, we want to hear from you! What experience, if any, do you have with HIV or AIDS? Do you know someone who is HIV+? Have you ever been tested? Had a scare? What sort of education did you get about HIV in school? From your parents? Does it worry you? I never had a lot of education about Safe sex until later in my life. It wasn't something that was talked about very much in the 80's. I have to admit that I wasn't very smart about protecting myself when I was younger. I mostly used birth control (the pill and condoms) but there was times that I forgot. I am very lucky that I never got an STD (or anything else) when I made some poor choices in my youth. My kids are a lot more educated about safe sex. Sex education starts in the early grades and there is a lot more information about it now a days. My education about HIV and AIDS came from watching the movie Philadelphia (I found out a lot in that movie that I wasn't aware about) and then when the internet came out. I was able to find out a lot more information about safe sex. My parents never talked to me about it. My mom did make me go on the birth control pill at 16 but we never discussed condoms. She seemed more concerned about me getting pregnant than me getting a sexually transmitted disease. No one seemed to really talk about it much when I was younger. I heard the odd news story about AIDS but nothing else. I have been tested many times for HIV and other STD's. The tests are now mandatory when you are pregnant. I also had to be tested after having a condom failure on a trip to Toronto a few years ago. I was a bit naive to think that a condom will always protect you but it had slipped off and I didn't know anything about my partner because it was a one night stand. I got tested as soon as I was back but it was scary. I don't think anything wakes you up more to safe sex than having to wait for the results of a HIV or STD test from your Doctor. I've been a lot more careful since the Toronto trip and learned a lot from that experience. Anakin and I are mostly monogamous now and I haven't had another poly partner in over a year but I used condoms the whole time with him. Darth Vader goes to Disneyland

My very dear friend, mija sent me a link the other day to this video of Darth Vader at Disneyland! LOL! It's really funny and made me laugh. Thanks mija! :) Well it's Monday and another start to the week. I had a pretty good weekend. Spent the day at Crescent beach yesterday with Anakin and our son. Will post about that another day. Tonight is the Canucks game and I have lots to do to get ready for a dinner with my FIL. He'll be joining us tonight to watch the game together. The Canucks are closer than ever to the cup! Hockey night in Vancouver

Things just seem to be getting crazier in Vancouver as the playoffs get closer to the Stanley cup. The city is exploding with Canucks fever and different celebrities and lots of tourists have come to our city to party and celebrate. I think that most of Vancouver was either downtown last night or at least watching the game on TV or in one of the many bars who are showing the game. It's big business around town. The tourist industry hasn't been this big since the Olympics last year that we hosted. It's a bit stressful to be a big Canucks fan though. I consumed several beers to cope with the anxiety and stress of the game last night. I really hope that Vancouver wins the cup but admit that I'll be a bit glad when the Playoffs are over and summer can officially begin. The Playoff games have become too important to miss. I'm still floating on the Canucks fever from last night (they won the game in overtime thanks to Burrows) and tomorrow they play again. There isn't a big break between games. Hockey playoffs have taken over our lives lately and it's all anyone wants to talk about. lol. :P It seems like I can't go anywhere without Canucks flags and signs and so much support for our local boys. It's a great feeling and very exciting to be two games ahead and so close to the cup. I believe in the Canucks! It is my biggest wish to see them get all the way this time. They came so close in 1994. I really do believe this could be the year that they get the cup. Praying to the canucks gods for the win! I hope the force is with them. Anakin and I were able to have an overnight last night with no kids. My FIL wanted to spend some time with our son and so he went over for the night. My FIL has been diagnosed with Cancer (Leukemia) and it's become very important to spend time with him before he begins his treatments. My FIL is a huge Canucks fan (as is most people in Vancouver) and really hopes they will win the cup. He says he has waited his whole lifetime for this. I know it would mean a lot to him to see them win. I really enjoyed my overnight with Anakin last night. I have many marks on my ass to remind me of the play on the darkside. He spent over an hour beating my ass. He used his belt, whip, new studded paddle and also a coat hanger on it. The sex was amazing!! He did some breath control on me while fucking me from behind. Canucks fever!

Well tonight is the big night if you're a hockey fan, especially a Canucks one! It's game one of the Stanley cup final series! This is it!!!!!!! Canucks fever is everywhere!! This is what we have been waiting for. A chance for the Canucks to finally get the cup. It's so close now that the fans can practically see it. Fans have gone crazy. I didn't realize how much Canucks fever was in the city until this morning. I heard about a radio contest and decided to go enter at a local grocery store. I figured that there wouldn't be many people there as it was very early in the morning. Boy was I wrong!!! LOL!! It was a complete circus. Cars were lined up all over the place. People were honking horns and chanting "Go Canucks Go". There was Canucks stuff EVERYWHERE!! Jerseys, socks, hats, and so much more. Even the store staff was wearing it. The Canucks mascot was there and it seemed like most of the city too. Wow!! I've never seen so many people showing up to enter for a contest before. Canucks tickets for the playoffs are a rare jewel. It was one of our top news stories last night. The tickets sold out in minutes and people are selling them for a huge profit. The tickets are really expensive and very rare. It has been amusing to see some of the contests that are making the hardcore fans do some really neat stuff in order to get tickets. One couple had a Canucks themed wedding. Another fan offered to name their child after a Canucks player. The game starts at 5 pm tonight and people are trying to get out of work early today for the game. I know Anakin is going to hurry home for it. I bought some Canucks cupcakes to celebrate the win (hopefully). ;) My son is also a hardcore Canucks fan. He is wearing his jersey to school today. :) I also submitted a picture of him on a website with Canucks fans on it. He loves the Canucks and believes all the way that they will win the Stanley cup. It was the first thing he wanted to talk about when he got up this morning. I told him that if I won the contest that I'll make sure he goes to the game. I am praying to the Canucks Gods that I won!!
