Fun family day at the PNE

The last two days have been really fun! I've got so much to blog about and many pictures to share! I feel like I am behind in my blogging. I even forgot to post an HNT picture yesterday and it was a good one! I hope to catch up in September when the kids are back at school. I will have my days free and be able to have a lot more time for writing. We went to the PNE with our kids on Wednesday. I shared many of the pictures on my twitter account. 6 years of Journey to the Darkside!

I knew that our blogging anniversary was coming up soon but I checked and got a very big surprise! It's today! Six years ago we decided to start our blog. I wasn't really sure what to write about or who would even read our blog. Almost 2.5 million people have dropped by our blog! And we've met a lot of really special friends from starting our blog. I am really thankful for the people who have supported us and been there the last 6 years. We really appreciate it! Thank you for reading our blog. It's been quite the journey. We watched many other blogs disappear through the years. There were a few moments that I even considered deleting this blog. Hard to believe! But there were some really stressful things which happened during our blogging years as well. It wasn't always easy. Blogging has become a big part of my life though. I can't imagine giving up on it now. It's helped Anakin and I a lot in our relationship. Some blog posts inspired some good conversations between us. Other times it let him know that I was horny and needed a spanking! I found twitter and Fetlife (padmeamidala on both of them) through the blog. I also found Eden Fantasys and become a sex toy reviewer because of this blog. I don't think that I would own half as many toys right now if I hadn't started this blog. :) We've shared lots of pictures along our journey. I had to reorder it recently because my other one had become so worn. We have been listed as "top sex blogger" for 3 years in a row. We are well known around the bdsm community in Vancouver. I've written about many of my experiences through hosting a munch or going to Rascal's or MVK. I've lived a lot of different experiences the last 6 years which I have blogged about and shared with our readers. It was always a bit strange for me to have people approach me at events and want to talk to me because they knew about my blog. I've had many people refer to me as a "celebrity" although that feels very strange to me. I'm just a lonely housewife who writes a blog and has kinky sex with my husband. That my writing has affected them somehow. That always moves me deeply. I write my posts for me but glad if it can make others think. I've shared some of my deepest struggles on this blog. The challenges of poly and many heartbreaks along my journey. I wrote a lot after losing my Dad and then my MIL. I've opened up myself a lot because of this blog. Sometimes writing out my feelings helped me to deal with my grief. I've gotten e-mails from people who told me that I inspired them in different ways. I really like to help people and that is one of the things that I like the best about blogging. I spent many years feeling alone because of my desire to be spanked. Hopefully there were others who came to our blog and realized that they were not alone. I think it's great that the blogging community can help others who are new to M/s or spanking to not feel so alone. That was the main reason that I started my blog. A romantic and fun weekend

I had a really good weekend. I wish that it didn't need to end. Mondays are hard to come down from when I've had a really great weekend. I had a bbq on Friday night with Anakin. We cuddled up and watched some tv afterwords. Saturday was our date night. We ran some errands during the day to get ready for it. Picked up some dessert and wine and some snacks. We went out for dinner to our favorite restaurant called Choo Choo's. We've been going there for over 10 years. There has been many special dinners there. The food was yummy and we enjoyed a few laughs and talking about special memories. It was very romantic. We went to the nearby airport and watched some planes fly over our heads. It was pretty amazing to watch them land. We drove out to Fort Langley which was a beautiful drive. The trees are starting to turn different colors for Fall. It's so pretty there. We went to the Fraser River nearby. It was beautiful. We noticed movie trailers there. I'm not surprised because we've seen several movies that have been filmed in Fort Langley. We drove to Fort Langley after and walked around. We could smell the campfires going at the nearby campground. It was a beautiful sunny summer day. We held hands as we walked around. I posted several pictures on twitter from our date as well as posting some today. I've got many more to share too! We drove home and then the toys were brought out. Blame it on the little blue men!

I forgot to put up a HNT picture on Thursday! And it was a good one too! But I forgot. whoops! I also meant to blog but I've been over on facebook all the time. Struggling with dark days on my journey

"What have I become. My sweetest friend. Everyone I know, goes away. In the end." - Johnny Cash I have a lot of things going through my mind right now. I hope that blogging about it might help me with some of the darkness I'm feeling. I got some bad family news yesterday. My Uncle is in the hospital and it's very serious. He's in ICU and has a very serious heart condition which can kill him at any moment. He's only a few years older than I am! Very scary! I found out that the heart condition he has is hereditary. My grandpa died from it at 53 years old. I've had two Uncles die young from it. My one Uncle was only 21. I am wondering now if this is a reason that my Dad died now. He had a heart attack. He used to tell me that he thought he'd suffer the same fate as his Dad. I have a very high risk of having a heart problem based on the family history. I worry a lot that I'm going to be next. I'm going to have to go get checked by the Doctor. That news this morning made me feel very worried. I've been feeling really depressed the last few days and through some of the summer. It's been hard to be stuck at home with a house full of kids. I cook and clean and deal with a hormonal teenager or video games turned up full blast. It's felt like a very long summer. This is also a really hard time of year for me as well. The anniversary of my car accident is in a few days. It's been 10 years since I almost lost my life in a very serious car accident. I have thought about blogging about it but I find it very hard to talk about. I went through hell and survived. The last 10 years have been a bonus for me. I'm lucky to be alive. My son (who was a baby at the time of the accident) is also lucky to be alive. I still deal with physical and mental complications from the accident. I think I was a bit naive to think that it would all heal and get better. Some days the physical pain is almost unbearable and is crippling. I was diagnosed with PTSD (post tramatic stress disorder) after the accident as well as arthritis. The arthritis seems to be getting worse as I age. I suffer from panic attacks and sometimes the PTSD still affects me. I don't want to drive because I'm scared. It takes a lot for me just to be the passenger in a car. The accident still affects me even though it's been 10 years later. I've changed a lot the last year. Become a bit of a hermit. I haven't been to a bdsm community events in over a year. My friend, DL is one of few friends that I see anymore. There are some things that have happened which have affected me deeply. I've pretty much given up on the poly aspect of our relationship. I think that Anakin and I have become very jaded about the poly. Too many broken hearts. We've been focusing a lot more on our marriage which has gone through a lot of challenges. Our marriage is very strong though. Our force is strong. I feel very happy with Anakin and love him so much. I can't imagine my life without him. He's been in my life since I was a young girl. I know we are going to grow old together. Anakin and I have been through a lot the last 21 years of being best friends. We've lost loved ones and been to many funerals together. We've gotten married and created a family together. I feel so very blessed and lucky to have the life that I do. It hasn't been easy. It's not going to get any easier. We are getting older and eventually we are going to die. No one wants to talk about death though because it makes most people very uncomfortable. It's probably a bit strange for people to think about your own funeral but I've started doing that recently. I'm also at the point that I am ready to write my will. I'm not sure why it took me this long but I was really struggling with a few decisions like who to make guardian of our children. That wasn't an easy one. There are some big challenges which lay ahead on the journey. My FIL has cancer and struggles with it. My Grandma is in terrible health and doesn't have much time left. Anakin's family has had cancer and he is at high risk for it. My family has heart problems and I'm at high risk for it. There are some really big health risks for both of us. I really hope we can try to live as long as we can. Our kids are still young and need us and I can't imagine not being here anymore. A spanking fun Saturday night

New keyboard for Master

It was Anakin's birthday yesterday. And it turned out to be a really nice and memorable one for him. He was very pleased. The day started out very early in the morning. I'm really excited about him getting his passport because we can start to talk about trips to the States now. We're already talking about heading down to Las Vegas. Serenity vibrator review

I was really glad to replace my old rabbit vibrator recently with the Serenity. I used the old rabbit a lot and it was one of my favorite toys. This was a really nice replacement for it. ($44.99) My last rabbit vibrator cost almost a hundred dollars at the Taboo Naughty but Nice show. They can be very expensive but this one is a really great deal on EF. Toy Review: Anakin got me to lay down and get comfortable and then I spread my legs for him so he could use it on me. Beach day!

It's finally Friday!

This week has felt like the longest week ever! This was the first day that I woke up feeling more like myself. I've been struggling with a lot of depression lately.
