Friends til the end

I have been wanting to blog but not sure what to write about. There isn't much new with me. I'm waiting for Friday and hoping that it all works out. New car!

We have some pretty big news! We got a new car on Friday! We were able to make it work and get an even newer and better car than our last one. Things were looking pretty hopeless on Thursday. We were both really stressed out about the car situation. We felt a lot of pressure to find a new car. Our rental was due back. Anakin also needs a car to get to work. It's too far to take transit from where we live. So the search was on.

We got an early start on Friday morning. We talked to the financing company who was very reassuring. We had good credit with them and that's very important. People like my mom would have a hard time qualifying for this type of loan. She owes thousands of dollars and has screwed up her credit rating. Master is a very good at budgeting and with our money. I'm very grateful for that. He controls our money and that helps us to stay on budget and have good credit.

We went into Kia and hoped to find a car like our last one. We were very lucky to find an even newer and better car! We own a Kia Forte 2011. It's a beauty and has bluetooth in it for using the cell phone. It's got better safety features than our last one. It's a really nice car. We both fell in love with the car when we first saw it. Anakin makes all decisions though. He made the final decision in the end about the car. He will also be making them about the lawyer and such.

A long and stressful week

TGIF! This week has been very stressful and upsetting. I was in a car accident with my family. Anakin has been badly injured with his foot and also shoulder/neck/back pain. He tried to go back to work but had a very hard time so He had to come home. It's been hard to see Master suffering. The kids seem ok although still very shaken up from the accident. It's going to take some time to get over what's happened.

We are still trying to sort out the legal issues and also trying to find a new car. Our car was written off and we are waiting for ICBC to give us a check for it. Hopefully they will be fair. It's a pretty big worry though. We owe thousands of dollars on a car which doesn't work. We have a rental car but it has to go back soon. So there is a lot of pressure right now. Anakin has been really stressed out. I wish there was something more I could do for Him.

Tonight is our date night but I'm not sure how that is going to work. He's been in pain and isn't able to spank or play. We weren't able to have sex the other day. Trying to move forward

It's been a really rough couple of days since the car accident. The Skywalkers were all in a bad car wreck. Anakin and I and our kids were heading back from the ferry and got hit from behind. We've all suffered some injuries and it's been a rough few days for the whole family.

There has been lots of phone calls and trying to sort everything out. The woman who hit us is from the States. So the insurance works a bit differently. We are dealing with ICBC for the car part and medical expenses. We deal with Liberty Mutual for the pain and suffering costs. Liberty Mutual has already phoned us offering a settlement which we didn't take. We are still trying to figure out our injuries. We may have to get a lawyer to figure some of it out.

The car situation has been pretty stressful. We have a rental but it's only for 5 days. We found out yesterday that the car is being written off. It was hit so hard that the frame of the car was damaged as well as the back end. So we are waiting for ICBC to phone us and tell us how much we are getting from them. Hopefully it covers our car loan. I know Master is very stressed out about it.

We are all dealing with physical injuries. It's even affected our sex life and kink. Anakin was home yesterday and we tried to get naughty. His back and shoulder is really screwed up though. Car Accidents suck!

I had planned to post a review today. I had wanted to blog about how much fun that I had been having over the weekend. The date night was amazing with Anakin. I woke up feeling very happy and submissive yesterday. We were both in good moods as we left to pick up our daughter from the ferry.

We went out for dinner and then headed to the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal. We were just coming back and had stopped a red light. The family was all laughing and talking about the teen's trip. It happened very suddenly. A car going full speed plowed right into the back of our car. There was no headlights so there was no warning. The sound of metal meeting metal and then we went straight into 2 other cars.

It was very shocking and it took a few minutes to understand what had just happened. Anakin was injured with His foot but didn't hesitate for a second. He jumped out of our car and ran over to the woman's car. Her car was totaled. Her airbag had gone off and smoke was coming out. Gasoline was dripping out of the car. He had to pry her from the car but He got her to safety. He was our Hero last night.

I called 911 and the police were there very quickly. The other people from the cars came to help as well. It's amazing how people come together in a crisis. I was surprised that several other cars stopped to offer support. The police were fantastic. We all had some injuries and probably should have gone straight to the hospital but we were all in shock. We called my FIL who came out to help us.

I was surprised when I saw how much damage was done to the car. I know it's just a car but it was brand new and in prime shape. We are still making car payments for it. The whole back end had been hit and it wouldn't start. A tow truck was called and the police got our statements.

I'm very angry at the woman who caused the accident. Why wasn't her headlights on? She almost killed my family because she wasn't paying attention. She felt bad though and apologized a lot. She was very emotional over it. It's a very tough experience to go through a car accident.

I was almost killed in a car accident in 2001. This was one of the darkest chapters of my life. It took years for me to recover. It took weeks for me to get back into a car again. I feel like this has brought out a lot of fears for me about cars. I don't have my car license because it's hard enough sometimes for me to be the passenger in a car. I can't imagine being the one driving.

We are all seeing the Doctor this morning. We need to find out about our car from ICBC. I'm not looking forward to dealing with them after my bad experiences the last time around. Hopefully this will be a better experience.

Being in a car accident really wakes you up about life. It's amazing how you can be laughing with your kids in a car one minute and then be in a wrecked car the next. Happy New Year's eve!

Happy New Year's eve! Today is the last day of 2011. It hasn't been that bad of a year for me. It's been one of the happiest for my relationship with Anakin. We've had a pretty good year and celebrated our 15 year anniversary together in November.

I can't really complain about 2011. There were a few challenges but they were mostly about my mom. There was also a bit of drama with the poly aspect of my relationship. We have chosen to take a break from the poly for a while. Not sure what will happen in 2012 with that.

The best of 2011: My hotel night in Richmond to celebrate my anniversary with Anakin in November. It felt so good to get away for the night and it was so romantic. The best part of my 2011 was all of the time I got to spend with Master. The cuddles and big talks and connection. Our force is stronger than it's ever been. I love Him so much and have learned to be a better slave to Him.

The worst part of 2011: Dealing with my mom's drama. I spent the first part of the year very consumed by what was happening with my mom and her problems. She walked away from me and my family in May. There has been a lot of drama which was hard on my whole family. It also caused a pretty big fight between me and my sister earlier this year.

It was a quiet and peaceful Christmas this year without the drama though. I don't have any regrets when it comes to the situation with my mom. I don't want to talk to her unless she makes some changes in her life.

Scariest moment of 2011: Anakin and I decided to go downtown Vancouver to see the last Canucks game in the Stanley Cup finals. We were there just as some of the rioting was starting. It was a very scary experience for us both.

We also found out that my FIL has cancer and that has been difficult. There was one death (Anakin's Aunt) this year and that was hard on the family as well.

I feel like I grew up a lot this year. I turned 39 years old. Very close to 40 and even closer to menopause. Both of my kids grew up a lot this year. The teen had her 16th birthday. My son turned 10. I'm so proud of both of my kids.

I'm healthier than I was last year. I lost a total of 13 pounds this last year due to all my walking. I had some heart problems though. There was also a few health worries like Anakin's high blood pressure.

Most exciting moment in 2011: The BC Lions winning the Grey Cup in Vancouver! We were all so excited and jumping around when they won! Congrats to the Lions!

It was also really exciting to stay up and watch the Royal Wedding with Wills and Kate. That was very amazing to watch live with Anakin.

I've tried to focus on what's important with Anakin and our kids this last year. I feel so blessed for what I have in my life. I really do have a very good life. :)

I was able to cross several things off my bucket list including figging which I tried for the first time. I am hoping to cross more off next year.

I'm excited about 2012! There are lots of possibilities that lay ahead for Anakin and I. I am really looking forward to the upcoming journey. I want to thank our readers for being a part of our journey this last year. I've tried to blog more. I took part in #adventblog this year and had many posts in December. We also had our final HNT picture this last week.

We had a blogging milestone this year too! We went over 2.5 million hits on JTTDS! Amazing! We are really proud of our blog. We made some changes on our blog this year too including a new and better header and sidebars. We hope to work and improve even more next year and make it even better!

We made it onto the Chross.blog recently which has brought in a lot of new readers and stats from there. Welcome to our blog! Hope you will come back and read all about our Journey to the darkside!

I even got into doing toy reviews for Eden Fantasys this year. We made Top sex blogger for 2011! I started a Tumblr account and we both had success with our online store. We hope to create a new store next year. Many exciting things that we have talked about. I can't wait!

Saying goodbye to the HNT series

Today is the end of an era. We have been participating in the HNT (Half-Nekkid Thursday) series for many years. I am really sad to see it go. All good things come to an end though. I am really glad to have been a part of this fantastic series!

A quiet and peaceful Christmas

Happy Boxing Day! How was your Christmas? Thankfully there was no more drama after what happened on Dec. 23rd. Christmas Eve and day were both peaceful and quiet.

We watched holiday movies on Christmas Eve. Then we went out for dinner with our kids and FIL. We took the kids to look at Christmas lights. We did all our holiday stuff like tracking Santa on Norad and getting to open a gift or two early.

I really enjoyed having both of my kids home for Christmas this year. We had a very quiet Christmas dinner with the kids and FIL. We were both very tired after the turkey dinner and drinks. I crashed at 8 pm last night. I was exhausted.

Merry Christmas: Day 24 and 25

Today is day 24 and 25 of having an #AdventBlog. I will be taking the day off from blogging tomorrow to spend with Anakin and our family. I am not feeling too good today. I started my period which put a dent into my spanking plans with Anakin. I admit that I'm disappointed.

I want to make sure to give my kids a good Christmas. We are already tracking Santa on Norad which is a fun part of Christmas. I'm glad the liquor cabinet is well stocked for the holidays. I plan on having a few tonight. Maybe it will help me relax.

Today is day 21 of having an #adventblog. Counting down the days until Christmas. Are you ready for the holidays? It's all about to begin! A big thank you to Mija for encouraging me to participate in the advent blog! It's been fun blogging daily and counting down towards Christmas. I've tried to keep most of my blog posts holiday themed in some way.

I'm really excited about New Year's Eve. That's getting closer too! It's one of my favorite days of the year. I love spending it with Anakin. Today is day 19 of having an #adventblog. Counting down the days until Christmas. I've got some baking done and plan to do more this week. We are almost all ready for the holidays to begin!

I'm really hoping this Christmas will be a good one. I admit that I'm normally not a huge fan of the holidays. A lot of family drama has leaked into the holidays for many years now. I hope that doing things differently will help us to have a quieter Christmas without all the drama.

This will be the first Christmas that we get both of our kids for the entire holiday. I almost always have to split the holidays up because of my ex husband and our custody agreement. He's agreed to give us the teen this year for the entire Christmas celebration. She'll be with us right through Christmas which is really exciting. She goes to her Dad's house but not until closer to new year. This will give us some time to spend with both of our kids. I'm really excited about it. My kids are growing up on me. I want to enjoy this time with them both.

We have hosted some really big Christmas dinners through the years. This often brought a lot of stress and very little help from people. This year will be a bit different. The only person coming to Christmas dinner will be my FIL. I think this will make it a lot more peaceful this year with hopefully less drama.

This will be my first Christmas without both of my parents involved in my Christmas somehow. My Dad has passed away. My mom and I don't talk anymore. There have been a few people who have opinions about it but it's a family decision that we made together. I personally don't believe that you should just forgive someone just because it's Christmas time. My mom needs to make some changes in her life or things will continue to be the same. I wish that things could be different...I really do.

I feel very blessed for my family with Anakin and our kids. They are the best parts of Christmas and the holidays. We have created our own family traditions and tried to make good memories for our kids. We have been watching holiday movies with our kids and baking with them. We plan to build a gingerbread house together. We are also planning to visit some light displays when it gets closer to Christmas. Those are the holiday memories which I treasure so much. I love our Skywalker family Christmas.

Favorite Holiday Movie: Day 18

Today is Day 18 of having an #adventblog. Counting down the days until Christmas! It's getting closer! Are you ready for the holidays? It seems like things are never really done for us until Christmas Eve. We are always very busy with stuff to get done. I'm starting on my baking today! I've got some recipes to try and the traditional favorites of my family as well. I love baking.

I also love watching holiday movies this time of the year. We watched Christmas with the Kranks last night with our kids. I love it although I never got why it was such a big deal to skip Christmas. I went on several trips during my childhood during Christmas. I think it's pretty neat to get away during the holidays.

What is your favorite holiday movie? One of our family favorites is the Polar Express! I love that movie. We usually watch just before Christmas. I have seen the movie many times but yet it always makes me cry. I love it! I also love National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation as well. There are so many fun family movies. I also love the classics. It's a wonderful Life is a true classic. There are also Christmas tv shows or cartoons which are always neat to watch. Who else loves Charlie Brown's Christmas or Rudolph the red nose Reindeer?

There is nothing better than watching a holiday movie with your family during Christmas. We put on the fireplace and put up some goodies and enjoy some time with each other. It's one of the best parts of Christmas for me.

Christmas is sure getting closer! I did a bit more shopping today as well as put out more Christmas lights. I also cleaned up my kitchen so it's ready for some of the baking that I plan to do. We are planning to watch a holiday family movie tonight. I'm starting to get pretty excited about Christmas and the holidays! :)

Last night was a special holiday themed date night with Anakin. I made him a homemade pasta dinner. We had a bottle of merlot and sat by the fireplace listening to Christmas music. I also dressed up in some sexy new lingerie from Eden Fantasys.

TGIF! Today is day 16 of having an #adventblog. It's hard to believe that next weekend is Christmas! Time is flying. I'm very busy working on my to-do list that Master wrote for me. I'm going to be busy every day between now and Christmas.

I asked people on twitter yesterday a holiday question. I thought this would make a neat blog post as well. What is your favorite holiday beverage? (either non alcoholic or alcoholic or both)

I love rum and egg nog. A true classic. I also really like hot chocolate this time of the year. I had to buy a big tin of it because I really like having it after my walks!

I also love all the holiday specialty coffees. I've stopped by Starbucks a few different times to get one of their holiday coffees. Yum!

An unexpected morning quickie: Day 15

Today is Day 15 of having an #AdventBlog. Christmas is getting closer and things are very busy right now. Anakin had the day off work yesterday and it was spent doing a lot of our holiday shopping.

It is a tradition for us to go out to Metrotown to do some of our holiday shopping. There are stores there that are hard to find like Lush and the Sweet Factory. Master told me to pick up a gift basket of Lush which was really nice. Thank you Master! I can't wait to open that up on Christmas morning! I went to Metrotown on my own which is always a bit of an adventure. He gave me a limit of how much I could spend and sent me on my way.

We started at 9 am and didn't finish until around 4 pm. Metrotown was a bit crazy. There is also a lot of memories for me there. I tried to finish up the shopping as fast as I could. Today is Day 13 of having an #AdventBlog. Things are getting a bit crazier now that the holidays are getting closer. It feels like my list of things to do keeps growing! I had planned to write a blog post about the play on Friday night. I had some very intense and dark play with Master. I don't have much energy left though. We spent a few hours doing some Christmas shopping today. I'm exhausted. I didn't get to do very much yesterday because I was sick. I'm still not 100% but needed to get things done.

This week is going to be very busy. It's the last week before the kids are out of school. Anakin will then be on holidays. Things tend to start getting a bit crazy. It felt a bit crazy today at the local stores! Wow! Wal Mart was a complete circus. Is it just me or do the holidays bring out the crazy people? She has often added way too much family drama to the holidays. I will not be seeing anyone in my family this year. I spent time with my siblings in the summer and they have their own plans. My Dad has passed away. I may see my Grandma but she's been very ill.

My FIL will be included in our family plans. He's alone and needs the support this time of the year. He's got cancer and has had a rough year. We worry about him a lot. I want this Christmas to be very special. Our kids are getting older and growing up on us too. We want to spend a lot of time with our kids this Christmas. I am looking forward to a quieter Christmas this year. We watched a Christmas movie yesterday "Deck the Halls" and really enjoyed that.

Many people might not know it but it was filmed locally in Cloverdale, B.C. It's really neat to recognize different places in the movie. Our teen was also surprised that Ferris Buller is in the movie! lol. I love that movie. It was a nice family night. We had the fireplace going. It's a nice way to spend time with our kids. I love that part of the holidays. Watching Christmas movies with the kids.

I've got some blogging ideas for the #adventblog this week. I was thinking about posting some recipes as well as talking more about my play on Friday night. I got a very severe spanking. TGIF! This is day 9 of having an #AdventBlog. Counting down the days til Christmas. It is hard to believe that Christmas and the holidays are only a few weeks away! The drama of poly: Day 8

Today is Day 8 of having an #adventblog. Counting down the days until Christmas. I still need to do my Christmas cards as well as finish my shopping. I also need to figure out what I am going to bake.

There has been more drama with the poly in the last 48 hours than all year. I've decided to write some feelings out. Impressions Crop Review: Day 7

There is nothing better than a new spanking toy to test out and review. I was happy to try out a new crop called the Impressions Crop from Eden Fantasys.

About the toy: It is made from SportSheets. It is a great toy for beginners or people who want to expand their toy collection. A great deal at only $10.50. It is a bit smaller than other crops. It's only 23" long and the crop part is 2 inches wide. We liked that it was smaller because it fit into our toy chest very easily unlike a larger one would.

It's also not as high quality as some of the other ones. It is made with faux-leather. It is a bit flimpsy with the tip of it. Anakin and I both worried that it may come apart with too much use.

There is a loop at the end of the handle which Anakin said made for easier use of it. It's got a cute little heart at the end of it which adds a cute touch to it. It is pretty looking. It's also easy to keep clean. We just wiped it down with a wet cloth after we were done using it.

It's a very flexible crop. Anakin was able to crop me with it and said it was easy to spank me with. It didn't take much wrist action to crop me. It can give you a lot of pain or a little.

A break from the poly: Day 6

Today is Day 6 of having an #adventblog. Counting down the days until Christmas. Today has been a pretty stressful day so far. I've had a lot of drama going on with different people. I'd really not like to get into what's happened with Kilted_Knight or Irish Boy. Some people have asked me what's going on and I'd like to leave that private. It's just very complicated trying to balance 3 different guys right now. It's a lot to deal with.

It's been a pretty good Monday today. I started off the day with a quickie with Anakin. I have decided to participate in a great idea from my blogger friend, Mija (el tercer ojo). She has started a holiday series called Advent blog which is a countdown on your blog towards Christmas.

A new and improved Journey to the Darkside

I'm not sure if you noticed but there have been some changes to our blog recently. A new updated header and changes to our sidebars. We wanted to clean up our blog a little and improve the look of it. We are very proud of our blog and how far we have come. The Journey continues. We have many more changes that we hope to make in the new year. It's exciting to think about a new online store as well as other big things. :)

We did a listing on our left sidebar of the places you can find us both. We are on a lot of social media now. You can find us both at Twitter or even on Tumblr! That's right!! Cyber Monday

We recently placed an order at our online store, Darkside Digital Arts for a few holiday gifts. Anakin and I are both very proud of our store. We've been successful at it.

We are thinking about starting a new one in 2012 because Darkside Digital Arts is doing so well. Anakin and I are both a great team. We came up with a lot of the designs together. This design "Spank me Santa" was designed by us both.

Grey Cup today!

I've got to admit that I'm not as into Football like I am with hockey or boxing. I am very proud though that our local boys are heading to the Grey Cup today in Vancouver! The BC Lions are playing in the Grey Cup today against the Winnipeg Bombers! Woot! We'll be watching to see if they win. It's all very exciting! Go Lions Go!

Afternoon spanking

Happy 15 year anniversary Master!

It's hard to believe it's been 15 years ago since I made a decision that would change a lot of lives. I took the chance and told Anakin that I was in love with him. That day changed us both forever. We made love for the first time that day. I wrote about this experience in a blog post called The Affair.

Anakin has stuck by me through thick and thin. There were times that he could have easily given up on me. I didn't make it easy for him in the early years. I tried to push him away a lot. But he pushed back even harder. We are together because we are best friends. We've been best friends for the last 21 years. That is the foundation of our relationship. We are Master and slave but we are also best friends. I can't even imagine my life without him in it. The true love that I feel in my heart for Anakin will beat on forever.

Taking the next step with Irish Boy

The poly dance is a hard one. I wasn't really expecting to find someone new in my life this year. I had a hard time getting over my last relationship. It took me a while to get over A. I should have known better than to get involved with a young boy who was half my age.

A hotel night in Richmond

Friday was a really wonderful day. One of the best days of 2011 so far. I had a really amazing time and it felt so good to get away for the night with Anakin. We are celebrating our 15 year anniversary of being together on Nov. 23rd. We wanted to get away and things fell into place on Friday to be able to make it happen. We were able to make arrangements for the kids so we could escape for a night. We waited for UPS but they didn't come and we didn't want to wait any longer to get away for the night. I did get the package on Saturday once we were back from our hotel night. I've got some new sexy lingerie to wear for Anakin sometime soon. ;)

I had won a gift card for the Travelodge and we decided to stay in Richmond, BC. There was one right near the airport. Richmond is a really neat community. Hotel anniversary night!

TGIF! It's been a long week. Tonight is "date night" with Anakin and a very special one. I'm really looking forward to tonight. It's going to be a really nice escape with him. We have booked a hotel room for the night somewhere really nice.

It's in a pretty nice hotel in a different city. I won a gift card over the summer and have been waiting for the right time to use it. We bought a nice bottle of wine and plan to celebrate our very special anniversary.

Our 15 year anniversary is coming up on Nov. 23rd. 15 years ago of being together. It feels like a big milestone for us. Rough night in the hospital

Yesterday was a horrible day from start to finish. I woke up to DM's on twitter and getting really upset over a fight with a friend on there. I made an honest mistake and have apologized for it but that person seems to want to walk away instead of working it out. I had invested some time into getting to know that person. Our conversations hadn't been going very well lately. It's always sad to see a friendship go and a door close though. But perhaps that means a new door will open.

I've had arthritis pain for a week and have been in constant crippling pain. DL noticed my pain and offered to help me out. I haven't taken that in ten years. I took a lot of pills in 2001/2002. I had been in a really serious car accident and was on all kinds of medications. My body eventually started to reject all the pills though. I always need permission before having any medicines and usually it's just a tylenol.

The Aleve hit me really hard. I couldn't even walk down to the school to pick up my son. I started to feel sweaty and my heart was racing and pounding through my chest. I went to the local hospital ER and had to get tests done. It did show an irregular heartbeat. They want me to see a specialist and also get more tests run. It's a real worry. My Dad died of a heart attack and so did most of the people in my family. My Uncle is walking around with a heart condition which could kill him at any time.

Heart disease runs in my family. It's scary. I was sitting on my Dad's couch yesterday with chest pains. I kept thinking about him and how he must have felt when he was going through that right before he died.

The Doctor and Master both agree that I need to rest and avoid any type of strong medication which could affect my heart. I am allergic to Morphine. Naproxen Sodium is now something that it's on the list of things to avoid. I obviously had a very bad reaction to it. I also should have eaten something with taking it. I was very sick to my stomach and vomited a lot last night. My tummy is still not right and it's 24 hours later.

Tonight is date night with Anakin. He has told me that we won't be playing very hard if we play at all. I am totally fine with cuddling up with the fireplace going and a movie. Slave to the darkside

One of the things that attracted me to Anakin was his loyalty and devotion to me. He became my best friend from the moment we shared a chocolate chip muffin together in college. He has never left my side from that day. He has always kept in touch with me. I find it very comforting to know that he will always be there for me. I have no doubts that we are together until death do us part. I love him so very much.

There is a new development in my life. I'm met and connected with a new boy! It's funny how poly works. You tend to give up and then someone new falls into your life. NRE starts and it starts a new beginning. It's been a while since I've felt NRE for someone. I think the last time I felt that was with A in the beginning which was Jan/Feb 2010. I'm sipping my coffee and trying to wake up. I was up at 4 am this morning. At least I slept better and was in bed early last night. I have really wanted to connection with Anakin since what happened on Halloween. He got up for work and I went on twitter.

We are always looking for friends. I love to meet people for a coffee and be able to talk about kink openly. I met R (my first Master and Mentor) and it all went from there.

The Halloween from hell

Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year. I look forward to it for months and weeks and days until the day finally arrives. I am usually dressed up and having lots of Halloween fun. I was very excited that Anakin had the day off work. He doesn't have many left until the holidays. So it was a very big deal for us. Then he went downstairs to see the kids who thought it was the most cool thing ever to have a Dad dressed up as Michael Myers. I knew that I had really fucked things up. Halloween was turning into a nightmare. One thing after another.

I went on twitter but felt really, really crappy. Maybe I should have stayed off twitter but I felt alone and like I was hitting rock bottom. I was glad for my text buddy to be able to chat with and also twitter friends. I had a hard time holding back tears as trick-or-treaters came to the door. Anakin walked in and was in a mood but we worked through things.

He made it clear there will be a punishment coming to me. I directly disobeyed him and this is a big rule for me. My number 1 rule is: I must always listen to Master. He knew that a phone call with my sister would turn into hours. It has in the past. I will be punished because I didn't listen to him. I am not a perfect slave. I screw up sometimes. I will be getting punished and that's how it works with us. I get punished if I fuck things up. I acknowledge that I made a mistake. I own it and submit to a hard punishment to learn from it. 2.5 Million Milestone for JTTDS

We have hit another blogging milestone for Journey to the Darkside! 2.5 million hits on our blog. Amazing! It still amazes me sometimes that so many people out there are interested in us enough to read our blog.

I didn't want to blog at first because I didn't think that anyone would want to read about us. Apparently I was wrong because many of you come back on a pretty regular basis to read our blog and follow us on Twitter and Fetlife as well as other social media.

We've received tons of e-mails and many people have told us that we have inspired them in some way. I had no idea that my blog would touch other people but it has. It helps me to know that I can reach out to people through my writing.

We've met some really great friends through our blog. In our journey with everyone we've shared many sexy photographs for HNT (Half-Nekkid Thursday). We've shared our struggles with life or with our poly/bdsm relationship. One of the things that I like the best about our blog is that we are not too narrow in our focus. We talk about everything here. From Star Wars to cancer or poly and bondage as part of our Journey. Blogging has become a really big part of my life. I can't imagine what it would be like to not blog.

We always try to make sure there are regular posts and lots of pictures. Anakin is a huge force behind the blog. He even helps me with my toy reviews. I wouldn't want to be blogging without his support and help. He takes the majority of our pictures and comments on almost all of my posts. He encourages me to blog and has given me personal time to be able to do that. Sometimes writing a blog post has helped me get my feelings out and be able to process my emotions.

We really appreciate the comments on our blog posts. Some of the comments have touched me beyond words. First experience with Figging

A Halloween play party for two

TGIF! It's Friday and going into the last weekend in October. This is when most of the Halloween parties are happening. What are your plans? Anakin and I have a very special Halloween celebration happening tonight. It should be a really good night. :)

Anakin came up with a really great idea for our date night tonight. We usually have Friday nights as our date night. It's our chance to play and have the house to ourselves with no kids for one night. I love our date nights.

Happy HNT - Glow in the dark Halloween panties

Happy HNT (Half-Nekkid Thursday) everyone! I had to go looking through our archives to find a Halloween picture to put up for HNT today. This picture was taken a few years ago around Halloween. Darkness on the darkside

There has been a lot going on the last few weeks that I have not shared publicly. I guess I was hoping that my mom would go away in time and give me some space. She had contacted me for my birthday and sent a card. She gave me her new phone # in it. I was very tempted to phone her. I'll admit it. I miss her sometimes. But I don't miss all the drama. My mom has some really serious problems going on in her life. And those problems started to consume me for months.

I'm not sure how much to share on this blog. Some people probably don't want to hear about my family drama. But I will share a bit of background information for those people who don't know what's happened.

My mom met a guy over the internet (almost 20 years younger) and he charmed his way into her pants and life. My mom was rich. She got most of the money from my Dad during their divorce. She got estate money and lived the life of luxury. I can honestly say that I was jealous of her at one time. A nice condo on the beach and trips all over. My mom seemed to have it all in her second marriage. But then she met the internet guy and fell hard and fast for him. She ended her marriage and immediately moved the boy toy in.

I didn't trust him from the beginning. He had no job and a criminal record. Bad news from the start. You could tell from the start that he was not a very good guy. He got caught in lies and even tried to get Anakin to lie to me. I tried to tell her he was bad news. So did my other family members. But my mom wouldn't listen. She jumped into marriage #3 and he started draining her bank account. My mom lost it all. He spent all of her money. She's broke. They owe thousands and thousands of dollars to creditors and other people. They've even scammed his own mom!!! She took out of a second mortgage and got betrayed from them. Very, very uncool!

My mom has turned into a criminal. Very hard for me to actually say it but it's true. She has done things that are against the law because of my stepdad. I've often wondered if she would wind up in jail or maybe even worse. I've worried so much that it affected my health. It affected my marriage. It affected my kids. My mom's drama had all us upset and affected by it. She even tried to move in with us! Along with her criminal husband. But we said no and she wasn't too happy about it.

My mom has lost it all. The only person who still talks to her is my brother. Every other person has had to cut my mom out of their lives. My mom needs help. I truly believe she is mentally ill. She's really changed. I tried to talk to her back in May. But she wouldn't listen. She cut me (and my kids and Anakin) completely off. Wouldn't have a thing to do with us for months. She changed her # and e-mails and moved away.

But now she's back and things are getting out of control. I really do believe that my mom thought I'd take her back this time. I always have in the past. I take her back and nothing ever changes. This time I have to stand strong. I will not help my mom until she helps herself first. I won't support her marriage to that loser. My mom needs an intervention. She really does. She's out of control. Her last phone message to me sounded drunk. She was slurring her words. She drinks too much and makes bad life choices.

I've learned a lot from watching that tv show, Intervention. Anakin and I saw a woman on the show who reminded me a lot of my mom. My mom needs to make some changes. I can't have her in my life until she does. I had to learn that with my brother who is now a recovering drug addict. I had to walk away at one point. He was pissed off but later thanked me and understood. Sometimes a person needs to hit rock bottom to really make the changes they need to make.

It's a very toxic relationship with my mom. I was getting used (giving her money, paying for countless lunches and getting sucked into buying stuff for her) and constantly criticized. I felt like I was becoming the parent. And all I really wanted was a mom. And a grandma to my kids. She's hurt and disappointed us all too much. I really hope one day there will be forgiveness but I doubt there will ever be trust again.

Things have gotten pretty bad. My mom has friended/sent requests to several of my friends on there. She's even e-mailed them and asked them to pass along messages to me! Then today something really creepy happened. I was working on a blog post and felt someone was looking at me. I noticed a guy in a white truck outside my window who looked exactly like my stepdad. I got closer to the window but he took off. I am almost certain it was him. I'm not sure if he's going to come back or what exactly he was doing here. But I don't trust the guy or want him near me.

The guy scares me (even my kids are scared of him) and completely gives me the creeps. I could call the cops but not sure they would do much to help. I've dealt with the cops before when stalked back in high school. I dated a guy who wouldn't take no for answer. He even tried to rape me. I tried to go to the cops and didn't get any help.

Anakin and I have talked about a possible restraining order. It's sad but unfortunately coming down to that. I really wish that it didn't have to go this way. I really do love my mom. She's the only parent I have left. I really miss my Dad sometimes. Because I know he would have come over and kicked some redneck ass all over the place if he was still alive. Dad...I miss you so very much...

Favorite Halloween Villain

I asked people on twitter today about their favorite Halloween villain. Who scares you the most. Are you scared of Michael Myers and his big knife? Or Jason? What about Freddy? Were you afraid to go to sleep after watching his movies? Perhaps Hannibal Lecter is more scary than all of them put together? What do you think? Who is your favorite Halloween villain?

One of my favorite Halloween villains is Darth Vader! My Master is a mean old man and can be very scary sometimes. He likes to play with knives and mean spanking toys! ;) *winks* And lightsabers too!

I'm a huge fan of horror movies. I grew up watching them. I watched Poltergeist at 13. Boy that was a scary movie at the time. I am still scared of creepy clowns because of that movie.

I was so scared the first time I watched the original Nightmare on Elm Street movie. I couldn't go to sleep. The horror movies have become a lot more violent and scary. I have to be very careful watching these movies right before bed. Otherwise I can have very bad dreams.

Halloween is a week away! I love this time of the year. Horror movies always seem a bit scarier right around Halloween time. Anakin and I have been enjoying watching a lot of the fear fest movies on AMC. We also love The Walking Dead too! Great show but can give you some nightmares too. Zombies can be a very scary in the movies or tv. One of our favorites is Zombieland!

I have been posting links on Twitter about some of our older Halloween blog posts. I was reading "Spanking in the Chamber of Horrors" this morning. Wow! Very good read. Check it out!
